We showcase a top practitioner in the industry to get an inside scoop on what they do and how they do it. We always aim to get you access to the best information and the people who own it!!

This week we are talking to Jeason Marvin.

My name is Jeason “Jey”, 26 years old from Paris. I've been practising sport since I was 6 years old, football, volleyball, Athletics, Boxe française, Handball, Basketball to name a few…

I've always been passionate about fitness and sport which lead me to a total career change from IT to PT. I started lifting weights at the end of 2011 and have been doing it since. My target is to be a complete athlete.

How long have you been a personal trainer?

I’ve been practising bodyweight training since 2013

How did you get you started?

After my first year and a half of weight training, I felt myself heavy and quite stiff. I also wanted a free environment where I could hold on to the gain but also get more agile and flexible. So myself & a friend decided to start training in a park.

What is your wellness philosophy?

If you want to eat whatever you want, you need to spend more calories in the gym!

What does a day in the life of Jey look like?

Early morning, late night!

5 to 6 hours of Sleep - Work - Train (7 days a week) - go home to work some more + the traditional youtube/netflix/documentary catch up to finish the day.

If you could only do 3 exercises, what would they be?

If I could do only 3 exercises It would defo be:

Pull up - Box jump - Push up

What’s your favourite breakfast?

French breakfast, no doubt! Baguette and butter, croissant, pain au chocolat, banana, yogurt, Milk and cereal, glass of orange juice.

Top tips for motivation?

Always believe you can do it even if nobody around you do.

Take on challenge outside your comfort zone.

When you finished second, your still losing...this motivates me.

What 5 songs are on your workout playlist?

My top 5 go to tracks right now are:

1. Niro - S3

2. Youngs Teflon - Pull Up

3. MZ - Les Meilleurs

4. Nipsey Hussle - Overtime
